I am planning to buy the HP Pavillion x360 14 inch laptop, shown here:
I have looked at all the available configurations, and the highest SSD storage offered is only 512GB. I wanted to upgrade and get the 1TB SSD, but HP doesnt offer this option. I went to a few computer shops (authorized HP laptop resellers) and I got conflicting views. One shop said I can upgrade to 1TB without a problem, since it is only storage. Another shop advised me not to go higher than 512GB, because the motherboard may not support up to 1TB SSD storage. The shop said they had one customer who upgraded to a third party 1TB SSD, and got problems (blue screen etc). He advised to be safe, to stick with 512TB.
I really wanted the 1TB SSD for this laptop. Can this laptop support 1TB SSD? And has anyone used a 1TB SSD on this laptop? Any problems you encountered so far?

You will have no issues with a 1 TB or even 2 TB M.2 SSD. Post back if you need any specific help with installation, but it sounds like you are going to have it done at a shop. Use the shop that told you its just storage and you will not have an issue. They know what they are doing.
