Resolve Windows 10 related issues for your HP computers or printers by HP Windows 10 Support Center
Hello, I am trying to upgrade my laptop, and I wonder if it is possible to add SSD memory to it without removing the HDD.
I bought a Samsung 970EVO NVMe M.2, but it seems that I am missing the connector, am I right?
Is there any adaptor that I could use and keep both HDD and SSD?
Thank you for all your help.
Yes, the hardware to mount a M.2 SSD is missing.
However, even if the slot was there, a NVMe SSD wouldn't work because notebooks with a M.2 slot support SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.
See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.
