I updated BIOS without even reading on it because I saw there are updates available. I am afraid I might have damaged my computer. Can I remove this update?

If you installed an update later than the one already in your laptop, uninstalling it can only be done in one of two ways.
By recovery to the previous BIOS, if the laptop won't boot up or by replacing the BIOS chip with a new one that has a compatible BIOS already programmed to it.
Why do you think that you may have damaged your PC?

Your friend is unfortunately uninformed, although any upgrade to a different version of BIOS does come with risk.
If the risk was great, no laptop or PC manufacturer would provide upgrades.
He may be thinking of back in the days of the Legacy BIOS, before UEFI BIOS existed.
Your BIOS is UEFI and even has a recovery feature, in the off chance that the upgrade was unsuccessful.
The only cautions about updating UEFI or even Lagacy BIOS are:
1) The laptop's power adapter must be connected to a household power outlet .
2) The upgrade process must absolutely not disturbed.
When the upgrade is complete, there will be an onscreen message that lets you know that the upgrade was successful.
Why do you think you may have damaged your laptop?
Does it power on and can you boot to Windows and login?
