Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade my laptop by adding an NVME M.2 ssd, but I do not know if my laptop is compatible with it. It is a 2014 laptop so it is old, I do not know if I would need to upgrade my motherboard as well but I would need help with this.

Hi:

 

Your notebook does not support a NVme M.2 SSD and there are no motherboards that would work in your PC that would support one.

 

Below is the link to the service manual. 

 

Chapter 1 indicates that M.2 SATA SSD's are supported, but I don't have any idea what that 8 GB of memory limit means.
