HP Pavilion 14-v203la Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Product Name: HP Pavilion 14-v203la Notebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have couple of questions:

1. Can I replace the HDD with SSD ?

2. Is the maximum RAM limit 12GB or 16GB of DIMM (Crucial says 16Gb and HP User Guide says 12GB)

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to HP Support Forum.

  1. Yes, you can upgrade to SSD to gain better speed,
  2. It supports 16GB of RAM but it has 24GB of cache and to avoid cache overflow which would corrupt (very, very, very rare) data I think HP keeps 12GB (half the size of cache).

You can upgrade to 16GB of RAM if you wish but be caution.

Regards.
