Can I upgrade the Intel Core i-7 3520M processor in my HP Elitebook 2570p ?
It is a dual core processor and I would love a bit more power.
It has 8GB of ram which I am doubling but would like to go as far as possible.
I have two of these and I like them but am wanting to do some more challenging processing.
Thanks in advance,

What is its BIOS version ? From the following manual i7-3520M is the top of the line
You need newer BIOS (if available) to support newer processors. The lastest BIOS for Windows 7 is F.65 Rev.A.

Sorry I just saw your reply.
Currently I have upgraded to BIOS V. 7.3 and with 16GB of RAM the processing power and response is much better.
I still wonder whether a processor upgrade is possible. I see that a couple of people have done it but it appears they have taken extreme measures.
Thanks again for your earlier reply.
