Hi all, first post here, so please forgive if I am posting in the wrong area.
I have a 15-ay168sa laptop running Windows 10 Pro. Bought it for not very much money in January 2017. Only really use it to work from home etc. However it has got a bit sluggish recently. and I am looking at upgrading it before deciding if I should fork out for a new one.
So I am curious to know if it is possible to upgrade the RAM on this device and can I change the hard drive for an SSD?
I guess my two questions are:
Can I upgrade my RAM on this laptop, and what is the most I can fit? Does it need to be a specific type.
Can I change/upgrade the hard drive to a SSD and what's the largest I can fit? Does it need to be a specific type or is there anything else I should know before taking this on.
Anyone that can help with the above would be great, links to compatible hardware would be even better!
Thanks in advance.
Jack

Hi:
You can install as much as 2 x 8 GB of DDR4 memory in your notebook.
You can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.
Since it already has an 8 GB memory module, just get this one to max it out.
I recommend this model SSD if you can live with 500 GB of storage...best performance for the price.
Below is the link to the service manual.
