I'm planning to buy the new HP-ENVY x360 with 16GB of RAM and R7 4700U, it comes with a 1TB HDD, i wanna know if later down the line i can manually upgrade the storage to an SSD or preferably just add an SSD to the HDD, please let me know, thanks in advance!.

Any 1TB HDD in a laptop is going to be a SATA laptop drive -- and any other SATA laptop drive will be the same physical size and use the same connectors, which is also true of SATA SSDs.

So yes, you would be able to upgrade the HDD to a larger one, or to an SSD, down the road.
