Cannot remove laptop case

HP Recommended
HP OMEN
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I wish to clean and repair my fan as it is making loud noises.

However, When I remove all the screws, the case still does not come off.

For example, all the outer edges of the case can be (gently) bent away from the laptop, yet the center remains secured.

I browsed the service manual and it says there is a screw in the center under a plastic plug, but I have no idea how to remove it or if I am misunderstanding.

Any help would be appreciated.

Its a paper or thin plastic cover you need to take a sharp flat object like a very small standard screwdriver and slice the  cover out (trying to preserve it to be reapplied) and exposing the screwhead underneath.
