HP 17 Laptop PC 17-c2000 (4V792AV)

Hi,

I have HP 17-cn2063cl (with Windows 11) laptop product number 641G6UA#ABA  with BIOS F.01 and I am notified via HP Support Assistant to perform critical BIOS update F.09 Rev.A, but when HP Support Asistant downloads and executes sp151482 the installer says  that 'the BIOS update is not compatible with this device'  and reject upgrade. I had the same issue with previous versions of the BIOS I tried to install. Could you please help me here how to force BIOS upgrade on my laptop.

Thanks

Best Regards

eyak

Currently your system is working but the BIOS is old.

It is quite likely that if you continue to try to upgrade the BIOS you might end up a newer BIOS but with a system that is not working.

Or contact the closest authorized service center

Try contacting support at a number above and see if you can get an explanation as to why you have never been able to upgrade from F.01

I really recommend you stick with F.01 which seems to be working.  If the upgrade reports the system is not compatible I suspect it is not compatible.
