Cant do updates?

HP Stream Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ive recently had some help with my computer from a HP specialist and they had me restore my system to a previous update point which didnt fix the original problem but now I keep getting notifications that it cant do updates and I tried doing it manually instead and it just says:

There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help:

• Feature update to Windows 10, version 1607 - Error 0x80248007


When ever I use the internet the pages it only loads the text and some of the links dont work(I'm hoping this is because it can't do the updates) so I'm just hoping you can help me be able to get the updates going again and get things working again. Thank you!

As I understand windows cannot update the version 1607 due to the error message you've provided,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate solution I need a few more details:

Did you attempt to restart the computer and try the update again?

Have you performed any other steps before posting at HP Forums apart from what you've mentioned? If yes, please provide more details.


That said, Here are a few steps that should help:

The error code represents the message - "service registration is missing or corrupt",

Type Command Prompt on the windows search bar, Right-click on it and select Run as Administrator, when the screen opens type - net start msiserver 

Then, push Enter, type Exit and Enter again.
