Charging

Hello there, I am facing a lot of problem with my laptop's charger. When I plug in my notebook then the charger first shows orange light but for max to max 15-20 sec. After that, white light gets displayed but my notebook shows that it is charging. Also when I pug in my notebook at 30 or 40% it does not charge but as soon as an indication is shown that your battery is low, and I plug in my notebook, it starts charging. Also when I ran the test in *HP PC HARDWARE DIANOSTICS* to check the battery failure or AC adapter failure, the test automatically got cancelled. Please tell me that is it fault of the AC adapter or the Notebook's Battery?

That is usually an indication of a battery that has reached the end of its service life.

I note that this is a 2013-14 model year notebook, so I am not surprised that you are having battery problems.

7-8 years is way beyond the expected service life for a notebook battery.

Is that the original main battery?

If your answer is yes, replace the main battery.
