Hi there,
I have an EliteBook 840 G3 and I see that it has an USB-C port (in the HP site product spec it says an USB Basic Type-C).
I am planning to have an additional display monitor as my third display (beside of the laptop display and one monitor connected to the display port), and currently I see that it does not work with usb-c to display port cable that I am currently have.
I found that there is a DHC-CT202 converter selling in marketplace and I am looking to buy one. The seller said that it will work in my machine; However, I am having a doubt about it. Would someone please advise if that converter really fits in the machine that I have to have another display?
Thanks in advance for the advice.

From my understanding, USB Basic Type-C port does not support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine
- Connect to an external monitor with / without hub/dock/adapter
Regards.
