I recently bought the following memory upgrade for my notebook because crucial told me it was compatible.
This is its title: Crucial Ballistix BL2K16G32C16S4B 3200 MHz, DDR4, DRAM, Laptop Gaming Memory Kit, 32GB (16GB x2), CL...
Memory part number BL2K16G32C16S4B (2 16gb sticks)
The ram is advertised to run at 3200mhz but my laptop is running it at 2667mhz since I installed them, but there doesnt seem to be any other problems.
We attempted to change the xmp settings in the BIOS but this was not permitted with my motherboard
My laptop is an HP pavilion gaming 15-dk1019na.
Does anybody know how i can get this running at the right speed, or what (if any) 32gb ram upgrade is compatible with this notebook and where i can get it from?
The specs of your machine is
It has 8 GB DDR4-2933 SDRAM (2 x 4 GB) now. You should be able to install 3200MHz RAM but RAM will run at 2933MHz max. You won't be able to get it run at 3200MHz.
