HP UltraSlim Docking Station
Other

I was considering hooking up my TV (with USB and HDMI ports only) to my docking station to use it as a monitor. My HP UltraSlim Docking Station has USB and DisplayPorts on it, but no HDMI. Is it possible to connect my Elitebook/UltraSlim Docking station to my TV and get quality audio/visual? Is it advisable to use an adapter to go from  DisplayPort to HDMI or vice-versa?

Hi,

The following adapter works

    https://www.startech.com/au/AV/Displayport-Converters/DisplayPort-to-HDMI-Active-Video-and-Audio-Ada...

It also works on 1920 x 1080 (standard FHD).

For digital signals, only on or off. The quality goes thru copper or gold should be the same.

Regards.
