Connector for HP Notebook and HP 2011x monitor

HP Notebook
Microsoft Windows XP (64-bit)

Hello:

I still need to know how to connect a HP 2011x monitor  (Serial No. [edit], Product No.  XP597A) to a HP Notebook (Serial No.  [edit],  Product No.  1NT85UA#ABA).  What connector and what settings are needed to make this connection in order to use monitor as a second screen. Thanks.

Connector for HP Notebook and HP 2011x monitor

@Ed771

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I see that you need help connecting your HP 2011x monitor to your HP Notebook - 15-ba015wm

I'd like to help.

The HP Pavilion 2011x Monitor Supports DVI-D and VGA video input connectors and the HP Notebook - 15-ba015wm has only;y the HDMI port.

You will need to use an HDMI to DVI or VGA Adapter to be able to connect the Notebook to your Monitor.

Hope this helps.

Keep me posted if you have any questions

Thank you 🙂
