Product: HP Spectre x360
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Spectre x360 with memory soldered onto the mainboard 😠 is experiencing memory errors so I'm contemplating having the mainboard replaced. Does anybody have any experience with this? How costly would a complete swap of the mailboard be? I'm seeing the part listed on Ebay from roughly 300 dollars but those are mostly second hand. I'm wondering if this is still worth the fuss.

There may be more than 1 option of CPU and/or OS  etc etc.

 

 A new board may need tattooing and a new Windows Licence also.

 

So you are wise to consider the viability.
