Cracked screen due to faulty laptop hinge

 My laptop screen cracks whenever the laptop itself is opened. This has been an issue for YEARS and now nothing is visible on the screen. There are black spots and cracks all over due to the faulty hinge, which clearly is a design flaw given the sheer volume of support articles related to the exact same issue. I cannot do anything on my laptop because of this.
