Common problems for Battery

Notebook is model IS-15-db0004DS; Serial number [Personal Information Removed].  The power adapter that was shipped with this unit has a label on the electrical cord 213349-109 HPI2218..  The power adapter DC plug does not fit securely in the notebook power receptacle...I can push hard and it won't stay plugged in.  It was this way when I received it but it did charge when just slightly inserted; now, am having trouble charging the unit.   Is this the wrong power adapter / DC plug for this notebook?

@ReidG

I reviewed your post and I understand that the ac adapter doesn’t fit securely in the DC port.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Is the battery getting charged when you wiggle the charger or push the pin?

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.
