Example: Pavilion DV7-7030US
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I had heard a pop right before my laptop shutoff instantly with about 30 Chrome Tabs open so I'm thinking it's was running very hot. So now I'm trying to decipher what hardware I need to change. The laptop does not boot at all, not even to post. All I get is a steady light where the power is plugged in and a blinking light where the WiFi key is on the keyboard once I press the power button. I'm thinking either the CPU blew or the Motherboard or both. Possibly the memory. Also,  I am looking for advice on how to diagnose this issue so I can fix it and get it back up and running. The hard drive is fine since I pulled it and connected it via USB to another laptop and all my data was accessible. I also pulled the DVD and now when I press the power button I can hear a faint sound of a fan trying to start spinning for a split second with the same lights as stated earlier.

Any guidance and help is greatly appreciated.

I have reviewed the link that you supplied. And it's unclear to me if it applies. I do not hear any beeps and neither my caps lock or num lock keys blink at all. Though this laptop was released prior to 2015 and it does not state what keys to look for blinks on this table which is where I'm confused, the only key that blinks for me is the F12 key (the wifi key) which only has a pattern of 1 blink which would indicate the CPU. Which goes with my instincts that it is either the CPU or motherboard or both that I'm having this problem with. I'm just not sure if I should be looking at the F12 key (the wifi key) for a blinking pattern. If you could clarify that, it would be appreciated, since the link provided does not clarify,  link only states to look for the caps lock or num lock blinks.
