15-RB006NIA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a new HP Notebook 15-RBOO6NIA with freedos recently. I discovered that the notebook model displayed on BIOS system information is HP Notebook 15-bw0xx which is different from the model HP Notebook 15-RBOO6NIA printed on the notebook base. The same HP Notebook 15-bw0xx is displayed in system properties and command prompt.

Please can somebody explain what is happening to me because I have never seen or heard something like this before.

Thank you.

Your laptop is the same as a 15-bw0xx series model-same motherboard and all other components. You got the laptop you paid for...all the specs and features are the same.

Apparently the 15-rb0xx models were only sold in certain countries and that model series uses the same Service Manual as the 15-bw0xxx.
