Docking Stations

HP 9480
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I generally would like to know if a docking station of an HP 9480  would be compatible with an HP 840G laptop.  The 840G locks perfectly into the dock meant for the 9480, but long term, will this affect the 840G?

Thank you,

Edwin

Docking Stations

Hi,

Probably the following one

    http://www8.hp.com/au/en/products/oas/product-detail.html?oid=5422417

    http://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/getpdf.aspx/c04168358.pdf?ver=11

It is designed exclusively for ultraslim HP EliteBook Notebook PCs, the HP UltraSlim Docking Station expands display, network, and device connectivity so you can be more productive throughout the day—all through a simple one-click slide-in side dock.

It MAY work but you MAY NOT get full functions from it.  The good news is
