Docking station for HP Pavilion dv7 model QJ793AV

I have an HP Pavilion dv7 model QJ793AV. I'm looking for a docking station whereby I can keep my laptop closed, connect an external monitor and use the docking station to power up the laptop. Is my laptop too old or are there decent options? if so, can you suggest the hardware?

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

There are no docking stations available for your computer as most of the docking stations nowadays use the Thunderbolt port which is not available on your computer.
