HP Gaming Pavilion — 15-cx0005ua
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm going to finally use the m2 slot for its intended purpose, and I want to make sure that ssd, for example Kingston A2000 250GB NVMe M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 x4 3D NAND TLC (SA2000M8/250G), will fit.

Manual does not say anything but at least PCIe 3x2 because it supports Optane. You can install PCIe 3x4. M.2 NVMe SSD using 2280 format, single sided will physically fit.
