Hey, i wanted to know if the HP 9480m have a express card slot as there is a slot that looks like a express card slot.

Hey,

 

That wide slot on the left side of the notebook is for a smart card reader, used for common access cards (CAC).

See chapter 2, page 11 of the above service manual.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I know that there is a sc slot on the left, but this slot is on the right side between the hdmi and VGA port and placed a bit downwards. It has the same dimensions as the express card slot but the only difference is that it isnt as deep as the express card slot (75mm), its only 0.5-2 cm deep... 
I asked chatgpt and it says that some models do have the express card slot. But if it is, then why isnt it that much deep?
Edit: I figured out its a docking connector..

The slot on the right side that you are describing appears to be a docking connector.

 

See the illustration in chapter 2, page 12, item 5 of the service manual.
