Does the Omen 17-an018na have a thunderbolt 3 port included? If so will it be compatible with the Omen Graphics Accelerator?

Hi,

No the PC does not have Thunderbolt3 port. We can see on spec sheet that it has USB 3.1 gen 1 ports at 5Gb/s. Thunderbolt 3 has even higher throughput.

Yes it does, as it states “A Thunderbolt 3-certified USB-C™ port” the port is at 5GB/s = 40gbits/s, thus it is able to connect to an egpu

Hi,

Can you please show us where is stated Thunderbolt port. The fastest port the 17-an018na has is

1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, DP1.2, HP Sleep and Charge

On the other hand the 17-an019na has Thunderbolt port

1 Thunderbolt™ 3 (Data Transfer up to 40 Gb/s, DP1.2, HP Sleep and Charge)

So please show us where you get that info before you advise another member to buy a device which in my opinion is not compatible with the PC

Well in the product features on its web page it states:

"Upgrade. Expand. Evolve.

Level up to the latest hardware and make upgrading a breeze with single panel access to internals. A Thunderbolt 3-certified USB-C™ port[3], 3 USB Type A ports, and an HDMI port lets you easily adapt to all the action."
