hp 14-af115la
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a new ram module for a 14-af115la notebook, in the picture below, you can see at the left the original RAM which works fine, and at the right side, you can see the new module, which makes the operative system crash with a BSOD, the crashes are pretty much random, as they usually happen when im doing something in the laptop, but not when doing anything in particular, the system is so unstable that the laptop cant be used for more than 5 or 10 minutes, however when leaving only the original RAM module, theres no crashes at all.

I ran memtest86 on both modules separatedly and there werent errors on any of them :SSSS, so, since the system ONLY crashes with the new module, but also memtest finds no errors, im presuming that this laptop is just not ready for dual rank rams?

Sorry I can't read characters from your image. Its specs

           https://support.hp.com/rs-en/product/hp-14-af100-notebook-pc-series/8499324/document/c04785632

It has  4GB DDR3L SDRAM (1 DIMM) now. How much more you put to your machine now ? Why do you do not use same specs of the existing RAM ? If you wish, you can upgrade to 16GB (2 x 8GB) max using the following compatible RAM

Why cant you read the image? Also seems like it got removed it from my post, here are the RAM models:

New module: 4gb 2rx8 pc3L-12800S-11-13-b4   <-- this one crashes randomly

Original module: 4gb 1rx8 pc3L-12800S-11-13-b4  <-- this one runs ok

Both with the same number: m471b5173db0 - yk0

Answering to your questions, i bought that one because i only provided the "m471b5173db0 - yk0" number when requiring it.

Anyway, can you confirm if this notebook cant run with this ram?

Generally will not be a problem but best practice to replace like for like. I would suggest running a memory diagnostic on it. Not impossible the module is bad even though new. Use the memory test in the UEFI diagnostics (tap esc then F2 as you power up) or a third party bootable RAM test app like memtest86.
