Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,
After reviewing the Product specifications found that your PC was shipped with Intel® Core™ i5-8250U (1.6 GHz base frequency, up to 3.4 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 6 MB cache, 4 cores) - Processor and 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA Hard drive.
In order to check the compatibility, I would recommend you go through the Maintenance and service guide of your notebook.
Here you will find the list of parts which are tested and compatible on your PC.
Please note, it shows that there is One M.2 slot for solid-state drive (Intel Core processors).
Chapter 1. Product Description - Page number 2 & 3
Chapter 3. Illustrated parts catalog - Page number 27.
Solid-state drive (M.2)
512 GB, PCIe, NVMe L20385-001
256 GB, PCIe, NVMe L20384-001
256 GB, SATA-3, TLC L20382-001
128 GB, SATA-3, TLC L20381-001
Please note, these are the parts which are tested on your PC, If you wish to try other parts you can try it at your own discretion, HP Doesn't recommend any upgrade/downgrade of any hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product. It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance.
Alternatively, You could replace the part on your own, use the HP Partsurfer to identify the part: Click here & order it via the HP Parts store (Click here).
Let me know if this helps!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂
