I was cleaning my laptop's fans recently when I noticed that the battery seemed to be be a little bulgy (?). I would like to know if it is something I shouldn't really worry about or if I need to replace it asap. My battery is a  ~3 year old TE04XL Li ion battery. I almost always have my laptop plugged in and barely use it on battery power. I have attached a pic of the bulged (?) battery for reference.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

To protect your hardware from potential damage, HP recommends that if you are experiencing battery swelling, discontinue the use of the notebook until you can replace the battery.
