Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

HP ENVY m7 Notebook PC (model numbers used 17-u000 through 17-u099) Maintenance and Service GuideIMP...

 

Even though the manual indicates it has a M.2 slot that supports SATA SSD's, not NVMe, unless your notebook came with a M.2 SATA SSD from HP, the slot is not there.

The series does not have dual storage options. Your machine has single storage option therefore it may not have M.2 slot for storage. You have to open your machine to find out. With luck, it supports M.2 SATA 3 SSD drive only.
