@LutonDatta As per the guide I shared, it looks like the device only supports, PCIe and SATA based SSD alone, not NVMe.
I hope that helps!

@LutonDatta Your laptop supports m.2 SSD and here's all you need to know about upgrades:
Disclaimer: I must let you know that HP does not recommend upgrades or hardware changes as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance by design, that said, the upgradeable parts listed by HP articles are purely for your ease, as the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion.
Check out the image below for details on parts tested and approved by HP to work on your device, also use the above link for keyword search to find the parts you need, along with its part numbers.
you may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal.
(Note: The link above is specific to the OP's product, if anyone needs information about their device, please respond with the complete product number for assistance and we'll be happy to help)
P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉

Riddle_Decipher Thanks for your helpful answer. One more question. Does it support M.2 NVMe SSD? Which SSD should I choose from M.2 NVMe based SSD and M.2 SATA based SSD?
