Hi,

 

Please read the following article:

 

   https://www.qualcomm.com/news/snapdragon/2015/09/14/introducing-quick-charge-30-next-generation-fast...

 

At the end it says: Quick Charge 3.0 will be available in some of our newest Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, X3 uses Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipsets therefore it should work.

 

But, HP always says: only use HP charger. Up to your decision if already out of warranty and believe me of not, quick charge will kill batteries quicker.
