Envy 15-j150er
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!
When I disassembled the screen on my "Envy 15-j150er", I was able to see the display model n156bge-LB1:

As I understand it, this is the TN display type (the viewing angles are very poor). Can I replace it with IPS?
Can I also replace the touchpad with a more accurate one?
Thank you in advance!

@Dmitryma Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to upgrade the display to IPS.

(HP does not recommend upgrades as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance and also, the upgradeable parts listed in HP articles are purely for your ease, though the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion)

I have checked the manual (page number 19).

Your product supports the following display assembly.

Display assembly (includes webcamera/microphone module and wireless antenna cables):

15.6 inch (39.80 cm), BrightView, FHD, LED, TouchSmart touchscreen display assembly 720550-001

15.6 inch (39.80 cm), BrightView, HD, LED, TouchSmart touchscreen display assembly 720549-001

15.6 inch (39.80 cm), BrightView, FHD, LED, non-touchscreen display assembly 720552-001

15.6 inch (39.80 cm), BrightView, HD, LED, non-touchscreen display assembly 720551-001

TouchPad assembly (includes TouchPad bracket (6b), TouchPad button board, TouchPad, and cables) 722972-001

Thanks for the answer! All the displays presented are TN type (twisted nematic crystal), is this correct? But I only need to change the display panel itself to IPS (In Plane Switching displays). And I would like to see if this can be done? Since I can't contact the service center right now to ask them this question. P.S.: My previous screen was damaged when I was carrying my laptop in a folded state, the keys left scratches on the display surface. Thank you very much!

@Dmitryma

I understand your concerns.

In that case, I would suggets you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Or you can contact the local service center for repair.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

Have a nice day!!
