Envy 17 doesn't turn on no lights, battery is good, motherboard is getting power

Product Name: HP Envy 17-j184nr
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
One night, a couple months ago, I was trying to play a game with a friend when my computer just turned off. It wouldn't turn back on. The next day I was able to get it to come back on and it had some boot message, but I didn't have time to read it before it booted. It was on but wouldn't charge. I turned it off to conserve battery a couple more times before it was permanently dead.

I have tried hard reset, but I get absolutely no reaction from my computer.

I have replace the internal DC power adapter, but the computer stills doesn't respond (also retried hard reset). So the motherboard should be getting power, but my computer doesn't turn on, charge, or blink. It worked initially after dying, so why doesn't it work now?

What kind of options do I have? I would love to send it in to HP to repair (as long as it doesn't cost more than $400), but I have had any luck contacting HP support yet.

My computer is out of warranty.

Re: Envy 17 doesn't turn on no lights, battery is good, motherboard is getting power

I have done everything on the list. I just tried a brand new charger and still have the same problem.

I have noticed that the charger makes a clicking or high pitched squeaking noise when first plugged in. The new charger that I bought does this too, but it does it multiple times until unplugged. I know that before I plug in the computer, the original charger works, but after current goes through the charger, it dies.
