Okay I dont have the Envy, I have the Spectre 13t-3000 and if you guys just want to ability to turn off the F5 keylight, you can try and press Fn+A and it will turn it off. However if you press the backlight key it will activate the key lights but you wont see it light up unless you press Fn+A again. So basically Fn+A is like the master swich for backlight (at least for the Spectre 13t-3000 it is) and the normal Backlight Key (F5) is like the secondary switch. Just a sugesstion, I can see that the keyboard is very much capable at producing various brightness levels but it doesn't let me control it nor fine tuned brightness levels for the correct ambient light response
