Product: HP Envy 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-cw0000 (761Z0AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Three days ago I got a pop up saying battery was low. I then saw that the led where the power cord plugs in was off.  Retailer says this mean the power ports (2) have failed or the internal power supply has failed and that either will require a complete motherboard replacement, costing m9re than t( laptop cost with labor charges. The laptop is 16 months old and of course recently out of warranty. I want to verify that this is the likely situation before trashing this machine. Thanks for any advice.
