Envy notebook touchpad coating began peeling off

My HP Envy laptop's touchpad began peeling off. Actually it is the smooth coating on the touchpad. It did not receive any physical or chemical harm, just regular day to day personal usage. Considering the touchpad and keyboard are totally functioning, I don't want to remove&replace all structure. Is there a way to clean the coating or just replace the touchpad surface?
