Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop is having a problem with the hard drive. I ran the Quick Check on the HP Hardware Diagnostics and it passed the SMART Check. The Short DST failed with a failure-id of qc7t2j-8b89na-xd7x6k-60t70

 

I'm wondering that that failure code indicates and an idea of best next steps.

Hi:

 

The error code reported means the hard drive needs to be replaced and the operating system reinstalled.

 

Consult the maintenance and service guide for your specific model notebook for the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
