Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I bought my HP Envy x360 laptop just 6 months back and the fan is making extreme noise.

The noise especially increases (like a motor bike) when I lift or tilt my laptop.

I performed all the necessary driver checks. Everything is up-to-date.

Please help.

Go into the BIOS with an F10 keystroke immediately after pressing the power button.  Check to make sure that the fan always on option isn't selected.

If it is, disable it.

Hi Erico,

Thanks, I checked the BIOS settings. The Fan always ON option was already disabled.

The noise is still there. It gets even louder when I lift or tilt my laptop :(.

I suggest verifying that the most recent BIOS is installed.

You can do that manually or with the use of the HP Support Assistant.

Have you ever use PC canned air on the intake and exhaust ports of your notebook to clean dust from inside the cooling for the processor/graphics?

If I may ask, why are you lifting or tilting the laptop?

The fan is supposed to ramp up its speed when the set temperature Delta has been reached. It will not slow down until the temperature is lower than the delta T.  Use a utility to see if temperature is indeed the issue. A free and safe utility, such as hwinfo64 will let you see what is going on with your notebook
