Product: HP 2000
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

Have a HP 2000 Laptop that is showing a harddrive error PU6ES1-6NX9L6-MFGJXG-60S203.

HD Smart check passes, but HD short DST test fals.

Any suggestions would be appreciated as I can not get  any results online or through the HP support line on the trouble code.

Hi:

 

The exact translation of the code is:  Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure.

 

That means the hard drive needs to be replaced, and the operating system reinstalled.

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

The HDD R & R procedure can be found in chapter 4.
