Compaq pressario CQ71-310sv
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi.

I am having this old laptop which trying to bring in decent working order lately.

It's main problem is noise from the fan and overheating.

I tried to find a complet new assembly heat sink,  but since it's that old it's difficult to find one surely new, so i am thinking changing only thr fan unit and thermal paste.

My question is if the fan provided for this model is the same for the UMA and Discrete graphics. I know the heat sink is different , but the fan seems to be the same, although i found over the net many fans sharing the model number.

Many sellers don't know if there is a difference. They just put on description that is for CQ71.

Anyone knows anything?  I'm guessing it's the same but have to be sure.
