The Biometric reader is shwon in the device manager and it is up to date but my finderprint reader does not indicate any light to read the finger.

How do l resolve it?

What operating system are you using on your notebook?

Also did it just recently stop working or has it never worked?

I'm running win 7 Pro 64bit.

it workereb before I reformatted my hard drive.

After reinstalling win 7 pro it stopped working.

I have successfully installed the driver I mentioned in my last post and successflly installed the simpmanager software but the problem occurs when running the simple pass application. Once I run it a dialog box pops up saying that it cannot detect a finger print reader and that I should attach or sins tall one.

the fingerprint reader shows up in the device manager under biometric and it says the driver is upto date and the device is working properly.
