Full charged laptop unresponsive, laptop buzzes

HP Recommended
HP ENVY 17t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had my laptop charging all night, opened it up, and it wouldn't respond to anything. Keyboard, power button, anything. But the light next to the AC Adaptor was white, meaning it was 100% charged. I unplugged the charging cord and every time I would plug it back in, the back of the laptop(speakers i think) would make a static buzzing sound, until I removed the cord an d it would stop. The body was hot to the touch, running very hot. Eventually I just held the power button for 15 seconds and the light turned off. I left it alone for 30 minutes, came back and turned it on and it has been running fine since.

I wouldn't have brought it up except a friend of mine who bought the exact same laptop had the exact same experience. I mean down to the T. Unresponsive, buzzing, light on, exactly the same story. I don't know exactly what it was what it was annoying, thats for sure. I'm glad I wasn't doing anything important when it decided to poop out.
