How do you lock the function key. Tried to enter the Bios menu by rebooting and pressing f10 but it doesn't open the menu. I'm at a loss as to how to use function keys without pressing fn first.

Hello @jenb65,
When you said,
it doesn't open the menu.
in what way does it not open the menu? Did you ensure to press F10 repeatedly? You have to press it repeatedly, instead of pressing it just once. You can also try pressing Esc repeatedly and then access F10 from the menu that appears.
Furthermore, a specific product name or product number would be appreciated. E.g. HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0028ca or 5MT98UA#ABL
Information on how to find a laptop's product name or product number is detailed in this HP document. (Please do not post serial numbers on the HP Support Community. The difference between a product number and a serial number is that the product number contains a # sign)
Kind regards,
Eddy
