Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I want to upgrade my storage space, but i couldn't find any information about pre-installed HDD type (i have a model with HDD 2.5? i guess??) and available slots for M2 SSD. So my question is, what can i do with it: replace HDD with SSD (if you know what type will fit perfectly please let me know) or i can just install M.2 SSD (if there is an available slot for it).

Thank you.

Your machine has  1 TB 7200 rpm SATA which is a normal 2.5" HDD. It also does support M.2 SATA and NVMe SSD's. That means you have 2 options

  1. Replace 1TB HDD with 1TB 2.5" SSD using Crucial MX500, BX500 or Samsung 860 series 2.5" SSD. They will fit perfectly
  2. Add M.2 SATA or NVMe SSD from Crucial P1 or Samsung 970 series. No need to remove existing HDD

The following manual shows you more information

And you can buy fully compatible SSD's on the following link

Thank you for the answer, but as i know, even when a computer supports M2 ssd, it sometimes can't boot from it because buos can't see booting sectors. Could you tell, does bios support booting from M2 ssd?
