Yes, this should not be a problem.  The M.2, SSD, is a 2280, NVMe.  Make certain to buy the correct type.  Here are the specifications on HP PartSurfer: https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=L72365-001

 

The specifications are for a 512 GB SSD, but will be the same for a 1 TB drive.
