15-EC0013DX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Will the HP 15-EC0013DX support a 1TB hard drive upgrade with a PCIe M. 2 2280 form factor and an Ultra-Fast PCIe NVMe Gen3x4 Interface (M key, M.2 PCIe x4 )?

Can I then move the original 256 SSD to be a secondary drive? Would I need an adapter?

What are the specs of the current  256gb Drive?

Thanks!

Its specs

For compatible, only use the same specs with existing   256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD.

HP uses SSD's from few different suppliers. Depending on available stock at the production lines, drives for this week may not be the same for next week. You can use Device Manager to find out.

Sorry for the delay responding (an issue with logging into this site).

To clarify,   I want to know if I can use a  PCIe M. 2 2280 SSD with an M Key (single key slot) ?  The OE SSD  Toshiba hard drive my HP 15-EC0013DX came with has a "B&M Key" (2 key slots ).  The specs on HP's site don't mention this detail.

On the Crucial site, they list a replacement hard drives using  both key connectors  - a "B & M Key" and a "M Key".  I'm going to assume both styles will fit, but was hoping someone here could confirm.

By the way,  to help others, my HP 15-EC0013DX came with a Toshiba kbg30zmv256g  PCIe NVMe  M.2  SSD Hard Drive.

Thanks for reading.
