bs102ne
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have been looking to upgrade my laptop from a 1tb hdd by adding a 256gb XPG gammix s5 nvme 1.3 ssd using the M.2 slot on the motherboard. The model number is a bs102ne. After installing, the laptop won't turn on with the SSD installed, but it turns on back with it removed. I do not know if this laptop supports NVME, although I want to know what type of protocol this laptop supports, and also if I am also able to install an intel optane module, even though the CPU supports optane. Thanks in advance.

Hi:

According to chapter 1, page 3 of the service manual, your notebook's M.2 slot only supports SATA SSD's, not NVMe.
