Trying to get the correct type of memory part number, model number, speed etc  for HP Pavilion Laptop

15-cc100 . Want to upgrade  two 16gb memory modules.

Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook's model series.

According to both the above report and the service manual the maximum memory each slot can take is 8 GB,

Most notebooks with the Intel 8th gen core processors and two memory slots can support 2 x 16 GB of memory, but since both the Crucial report and the service manual indicate that 2 x 8 GB is the max, it would be a gamble on your part to go with a single 16 GB chip in one slot.

 

If you want to experiment, I would only buy one 16 GB chip and if it works alongside what you have in there now, and reports the right amount of memory, then you can go the distance and add the second 16 GB chip.
