HP 255 G6 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, community. I have recently bought an HP 255 G6 Notebook and I have a question that applies to the motherboard of the device :

There is a "K15 IMC" (AMD A) socket installed according to "cpu-z" software and my processor is AMD E2-9000e.

So, I will probably need to increase the performance of the device in the future, what types of processors are supported by my motherboard?

Hi,

It is not possible to upgrade the CPU as it comes integrated on the motherboard.(soldered)  You would need to replace the whole motherboard which would probably cost more than buying new PC with desired specs.

On page 61 of service manual you can see the 2 motherboards compatible with the PC:

Hope it helps,

David
